Their location itself was buy-in for me. This café is located literally as its name stands beside the river. Interestingly, there is a door that leads to other businesses in the building on the side such as the art gallery, antique shop, bicycle, and custom framing shop. It kinda gives you that feeling that these business owners are connected and they try to help each other.
When I visited this café the first time. The baristas really made me feel at ease. I ordered their breakfast panini and a latte. They asked and clarified my order: the size, the milk, and if there’s anything else I need to add.
I noticed there was a delay in serving their breakfast panini. I followed it up and was reassured it was coming. So when the barista served it at my table after a bit of a longer wait than I am accustomed to in a typical café, she was apologetic for the delay and stated they had some trouble with the pressing machine for the panini. And I happily accepted her apology.
Overall, I like my experience there. The baristas are nice. The ambiance outdoors is refreshing. The breakfast panini was very good. The café latte was good enough for my taste.
